On April 25, 2015, the Saurbier Law Firm, along with many enthusiastic clients and friends, volunteered to help the Belle Isle Conservancy with the Annual Spring Clean-Up of Belle Isle.  Belle Isle is now a Michigan State Park comprised of 985 acres—the largest island park in a U.S. Municipality and larger than Central Park in NYC.  Its oldest building, “The White House,” was built in 1863, and the well-known Aquarium and Conservatory were completed in 1904.

For this event, we worked together with the Conservancy and the Department of Natural Resources to clean up the historic island, including the beautiful garden outside the Conservatory. It was a fun day for all who participated, and it felt great to give back to Detroit! Afterward, we enjoyed lunch at the Belle Isle Yacht Club and talked about how we couldn’t wait to do it again next year!
