On Saturday, April 22nd 2017, our Work Crew of some 75 people filled 440 bags of leaves and debris along the Belle Isle Zoo fence line. Volunteers with clippers cleared overhanging vines and branches. Two volunteers with their chainsaws cut up four major tree falls on the island. We also had one kayaker pulling plastic bags and miscellaneous material out of the waterways. The Belle Isle Conservancy and Department of Natural Resources greatly appreciated the hard work and effort of the Work Crew! We had a great time for a great cause and enjoyed our lunch at the Detroit Yacht Club! –Saurbier Law Firm

“I want to extend my most sincere thank you to you and your team everything you do to support our annual Spring Clean-up- the zoo fence line looks absolutely wonderful.

You and your team were a crucial part of the more than 800 people that came to Belle Isle on Saturday to participate in preparing the island for the season. Everyone on Belle Isle, from the Park Rangers and the Conservancy staff to our park users, are truly impressed and greatly humbled by the generosity that our community partners have given to us. Your continued support is immeasurable”.

–Genevieve Nowak, Belle Isle Park Director of Volunteer Services
